Transfer to Secondary School in September 2026 is a useful guide for parents produced by London Borough of Sutton
All applicants must complete a Common Application Form (CAF) with their home local authority online through e-Admissions no later than 31st October 2026.
As well as the Common Application Form (CAF) the school recommends that all applicants regardless of faith complete an Admissions Administration document by 31st October 2026 via the link on this page alternatively this can downloaded and emailed to the admissions team.
For Catholic applicants applying for a place under Category A: it is recommended to complete and submit an Admissions Administration document and also send a copy of the candidate's Baptism Certificate and a Certificate of Catholic Practice (if applicable) completed by the candidate's Parish Priest to: admissions@johnfisherschool.org.
For applicants from other faiths, or those with no faith, applying for a place under Category B: it is recommended to complete and submit an Admissions Administration document. You do not need to submit any religious documentation.
Admissions Administration forms should be completed online or downloaded and sent to admissions@johnfisherschool.org no later than 31st October 2026
If an applicant wishes to apply for a place at this school, The John Fisher School must be named as one of the preferences on the Pan London form.

John Fisher School Open Day and Application Deadlines
Our next open evening will be held on Thursday 9th July 2026 from 4.30 - 7.00pm. Full details can be found here.
A small number of prebookable smaller morning tours will be held in October for children who will be in year 6 (September 2026) and their parents/carers in October 2026. Booking details will be added here nearer to the event.

No. Applications are welcomed from Catholic families, families of other faiths and families with no faith background. All applications are considered in accordance with the published
Admissions Policy.
The documentation required depends on the admissions category under which you are applying. Please refer to the

Late applications are considered in accordance with Local Authority admissions procedures. Parents should contact the Admissions Team for advice.

Parents have the right to appeal if their child is not offered a place at The John Fisher School.
To make an Appeal for entry to The John Fisher School for September 2026 year 7 intake. You must request an Application to Appeal Form in writing, admissions@johnfisherschool.org
Deadline for Parents/Carers to inform the school of their intention to Appeal Friday 27th March 2026.
Deadline for Parents/Carers to submit their Appeal in writing to the school Friday 1st May 2026.
Appeals are scheduled to be heard at the end of June 2026.
