JOHN FISHER SCHOOL

HOUSE SYSTEM

At the heart of our pastoral care is the House System. Each House has its own patron saint, inspiring students to embody their values and ethos in all aspects of school life.

Form groups in each year are aligned to their respective House and come together for House assemblies each half term. The House System is integral to school life, extending across a wide range of activities including debating, music, and other co-curricular opportunities.

Students earn House points for good attendance, punctuality, participation in clubs and societies, involvement in school trips, and outstanding achievements. These points contribute to their House’s overall total and help determine the winner of the Kennedy Cup, awarded at the end of the academic year.

The system fosters both aspiration and support. Sixth Form House Captains, drawn from Year 13, play a key role in leading their Houses and helping to organise events and initiatives. This encourages students to work together across year groups, building a strong sense of community and shared purpose.

If you have any questions about the House System, please contact Mr R. Palmer, House System Lead, via email at johnfisherschool@johnfisherschool.org.
