At The John Fisher School the programme of study for all year groups fulfils our statutory responsibility to support students’ spiritual, moral, cultural, mental and physical development. It prepares them for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of life. It is essential that the experience of PSHE education should not simply be a series of one-off disconnected sessions, each on a different topic and focussing only on factual content.
As a Catholic School we understand that all our students are of intrinsic and absolute value as they are created by God and in the image of God. With this at the centre of all our teaching, and in particular our Sex and Relationship Education we aim to make our teaching holistic and fitting to the needs of the students.
