At the heart of the pastoral system is the House system. With each House named after religious Martyrs and Saints, students are encouraged to embody their values and ethos.
Form groups in each year are named after their respective House and join together in half termly house assemblies. The House system also extends to a broad range of activities such as debating and music. Students are rewarded for punctuality and attendance, with points added to the overall totals each half term.
House points are also awarded every term by staff to students who have participated in all school activities such as clubs, societies, trips or specific achievements. These points are added to overall totals for house activities and used to decide the winner of the Kennedy Cup awarded at the end of the year.
The House system provides a structure of support and aspiration for students, with House Captains in Year 13 selected to help organise and run these events. Students are encouraged to work as a House, allowing them the opportunity to engage with other students in different year groups.
