Headteacher's Welcome
It is a privilege to be a member of The John Fisher School community.
At The John Fisher School, we get boys.
We have a clear vision, which is to nurture and educate boys to be young Catholic gentlemen who make a positive contribution to society.
Rooted in Catholic heritage, The John Fisher School identifies as a centre of wellbeing and learning. We understand what makes our students tick. We enjoy their energy, their humour, their ideas and their zest for life. Our commitment is to work with each student, to inspire and encourage him to always aspire to reach his God-given potential.
The school's mission is the total development of the individual through faith and spiritual formation, service to others and the building of community. In an increasingly technological world, our core purpose of encouraging caring and compassionate young men, who have the strength to follow thier Christian values, has become even more important.
Our curriculum is holistic, and we believe in the importance of our staff building strong relationships with our students and guiding them to academic and social success. The heart of the curriculum lies at the intersection of our academic, cultural and sporting programmes that promote the personal, moral and intellectual growth of every student. We value high academic achievement, but recognise the importance of creating grounded and well-rounded young men ready for life.
It is the strength of the relationship and the goodness of the people in our community which makes us stand out. I hope that this website gives you a flavour of our inclusive school.
