The whole of Year 8 recently took part in 'Take Your Son to Work Day'. This involved the boys going to work with a close relative and observing the activities they do on a daily basis.

The Talk Easy Trust's launch football match took place on Friday evening at Carshalton Athletic Football Club between staff teams of John Fisher School and Carshalton Boys Sports College.

After a long, cold and wet spring, today's John Fisher School Fete certainly blew away the winter blues in great style. Our fete is the largest public event which takes place in South London on the May Bank Holiday each year - attracting crowds of visitors who made the most of the warm sunshine from the moment the gates opened at 12:00noon.

Congratulations to the School Choir, the Staff Choir and the Parents & Friends Choir for the magnificent Sacred Choral Music Concert held in our School Chapel on Wednesday 1st May. The programme of choral music included a number of well known pieces which were each performed with great confidence.

Fifty Years of Rugby at John Fisher was celebrated in fine style on Friday evening with over 350 guests filling our sports hall for a celebratory Sports Dinner.

Congratulations to Mr John Howard, one of our Learning Support Assistants, who completed the Greater Manchester Marathon on Sunday in an impressive time of 3 hours 39 minutes. As well as being awarded with his medal and T-Shirt John also met up with ex-England footballer and Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker.

Congratulations to the Chapel Choir who won their class (Youth Choir) in the Croydon Music Festival on Friday evening at Whitgift School, with pieces - 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'Porgy and Bess'.

John Fisher brothers Luke (Yr10) and Jack Day (Yr7) are both passionate about swimming and have signed up for the SWIMATHON 2013. They will swim an extremely challenging 5k each, which means we will both swim 200 lengths of a 25 metre swimming pool.

Very early on Easter Monday Fr James and Mr Tomlin took 24 students from Fisher to Rome for our schools’ annual 4 day trip. This year the group was blessed to have one of our Diocesan seminary students, Mark Wharton as an extra helper, he soon made friends with everyone and the boys enjoyed his company.
